Lazourdy completes construction of Sheikh Hamdan Mosque in Abu Dhabi
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments opened Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Mosque in the Al Nahyan Camp area of Abu Dhabi, which can accommodate around 1,500 worshippers.
Lazourdy contracting and general maintenance was the main contractor for the mosque’s construction. Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, the Director-General of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, attended the Sheikh Hamdan Mosque’s opening along with other officials and members of the local community.
The mosque’s executive director praised the leadership’s support for the authority’s achievements and role, including the construction of this blessed mosque and others in different emirates of the country, reflecting the progress and civilization of the UAE and their commitment to the slogan “our mosques are a manifestation of our civilization.”
The mosque’s opening comes a few days before the anniversary of Israa and Mi’raj, and Al Mazrouei congratulated the UAE leadership, government, people, and the Islamic nation on this occasion.
